SANAA, March 17 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal exchange rate witnessed on Wednesday continued its accelerating collapse against foreign currencies in the southern provinces, recording 913 riyals per dollar in the provinces of Aden and Hadramout.
This came a day after angry demonstrators stormed the presidential Maa’sheeq Palace, headquarters of Hadi’s government in Aden, in protest of the currency collapse, the rise in prices, and the deterioration of basic services.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate of the Yemeni riyal remained stable in the capital Sanaa at 605 riyals per dollar.
