LAHJ, March 15 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen stormed on Sunday a school in Lahj province and looted its scientific laboratory.
Director of Dar Al-Salam School for girls, Anisa Mohammed Obaid, confirmed, in a press statement, that unknown persons had looted the tools of the school’s laboratory, located in Al-Anad area in Tuban district.
Obeid explained that the school had previously been subjected to a similar attack last month, and other tools were stolen.
The same school was stormed in early October 2020, by loyalists of the so-called “Southern National Alliance” led by Ahmed Al-Eisi loyal to Islah Party in Lahj.
Lahj and the rest of the southern provinces are witnessing insecurity amid the absence of the state authorities since the Saudi-led coalition took control of them in the second half of 2015.
