Islah militants shell home of senior tribal sheikh in Marib

MARIB, March 09 (YPA) – Hadi’s forces bombed a home of a senior tribal sheikh in Marib on charges of collaborating with Sanaa forces.

Tribal sources said Hadi’s forces and the Al-Islah militants shelled the house of Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Zaidi in the Al-Sawabain area of Wadi Dhana, which fell days ago by Sanaa forces.

The shelling caused a fire in sheikh al-Zaidi’s house, as well as the burning of a number of citizens’ cars and the death of a number of livestock, the sources added.

In addition, the coalition warplanes carried out more than 30 air strikes on a number of districts and around Marib city, including 20 raids on in Sirwah, near Marib, in an attempt to prevent Sanaa forces’ advance.
