STC calls on Abyan governor to resign

ABYAN, March 07 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional; Council (STC) militia called on Abyan governor appointed by the Saudi-backed Hadi government.

According to sources, dozens of activists loyal to the STC launched a call on social media, urging the tribes and citizens to bring down the governor of Abyan, Abu Bakr Hussein Salem, due to the power outage for the fourth consecutive day, and the collapse of all basic services, which doubled the suffering of residents.

They called for the so-called “southern resistance” in Abyan to expel the governor, after angry protests broke out in Aden and Lahj, demanding the expulsion of the Hadi government as a result of the economic collapse, and failure to pay salaries, in addition to worsening the living conditions.
