Two military commanders assassinated in Marib

MARIB, March 06 (YPA) – The city of Marib witnessed a new assassination of two  military commanders loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Marib on Saturday night, local sources said.

According to local sources in Marib province, Major Shafiq Ghaleb Ali, commander of the personal guard of Brigadier Mansour Thawbah, commander of the “Third Region” of the coalition forces, was killed in mysterious circumstances in Marib city.

The sources added that the security services of the coalition forces found the body of “Shafiq” in an abandoned place on the outskirts of Marib city.

The sources said that Moataz Ahmed Hatem, head of operations of al-Qaeda’s Al-Qaeda Brigade in Bayda province, who was awarded by coalition forces as a “major” was kidnapped while fleeing the fighting in the west of Marib city, was found Friday dead in the  north of Marib city.

The sources pointed out that the body of “Moataz Hatem” was dumped in an abandoned place north of Marib city after he was disarmed.

In the past few days, the city of Marib witnessed major assassinations targeting the military leaders of in the coalition force, the latest of which was the murdering of the Salafist Sheikh Mohsen Hamad al-Arda, commander of the Salafist armed groups in the Nakhla front.
