STC refuses to send military reinforcements to Marib

ADEN, March 06 (YPA) – A leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) refused to send fighters from the southern provinces to fight along with al-Islah militants in Marib.

Ahmed Omar bin Farid explained on his Twitter account that the so-called Riyadh agreement requires the removal of what he described as northern forces from the southern provinces to fight in Marib.

Bin Farid rejected that Hadi’s forces to keep controlling of the oil wells in Shabwah and Hadhramout.

It is worth mentioning that hundreds of people from the southern provinces have been killed in the fighting in Marib between the Yemeni armed forces and the Saudi-led coalition forces .
