Pro-coalition military commander killed in Marib

MARIB, March 06 (YPA) – A prominent military commander of the Saudi-led coalition forces, called “Brigadier General Al-Wari”, was killed on Saturday at ‘Al-Kassara’ front, west of Marib city, east of the capital Sanaa.

Local sources in Marib told Yemen Press Agency that the coalition forces suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment, during their unsuccessful trips towards Al-Kassara area.

The sources indicated that Al-Wari is one of the senior leaders of the pro-coalition Islah Party in Rayma province, and he was one of the most prominent opponents of the coalition’s measures to bring in military reinforcements from the southern provinces to Marib.

It is worth noting that the coalition forces are living in a difficult situation in Marib, in light of the rapid advances made by Sanaa forces towards the city of Marib.
