Khatibzadeh: Yemeni government’s responses come as a result of war and siege

SANAA, March 04 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said that what is happening in Yemen is the result of the aggression of Saudi Arabia and its allies.

“The blockade imposed on Yemen makes the national salvation  government obliged to respond to the lifting of the blockade in light of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen,” Saeed Khatibzadeh explained

In a statement to Al-Jazeera, Saeed Khatibzadeh confirmed  the roots of the Yemeni crisis extend to Saudi Arabia, adding that it should follow the right path, end the war and then start Yemeni-Yemeni negotiations.

He said the peace process would end the tragedy and war in Yemen, stressing that Saudi Arabia’s lifting of the blockade on Yemen would end the war.
