SANAA, March 04 (YPA) – Swedish police said on Wednesday evening that a man in his 20s attacked eight people with a “sharp object”, seriously injuring two people in the Swedish city of Vitlanda.
The attacker was taken to hospital after police shot him in the leg while trying to arrest him, following the attack in the southern Swedish city, AFP reported.
Police said in a statement that they “originally treated the incident as an “attempted murder”, but changed the idea to suspect it was a “terrorist attack”.
The Swedish police indicated that security forces were investigating the attack as a possible “terrorist crime”,
No one was killed in the attack, according to AFP. The police decided to hold a press conference later.
