US president talks about possibility of imposing sanctions against MBS

SANAA, Feb. 28 (YPA) – US  President Joe Biden confirmed that an announcement will be made on Monday concerning Saudi Arabia following the CIA report on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Asked about sanctions against the Saudi crown prince, Biden said, “There will be an announcement on Monday about what we will do with Saudi Arabia in general.”

President Joe Biden did not elaborate further.

President Joe Biden’s administration released a declassified version of the US intelligence report on the 2018 killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey.

“We believe that in 2018, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman approved an operation in Istanbul, Turkey, to arrest or kill journalist Jamal Khashoggi,” the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said in the report.
