Israeli occupation forces open fire on fishermen, farmers in Gaza

SANAA, Feb. 24 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday morning opened fire on Palestinian fishermen and farmers in the southern and northern Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian Media Center, the occupying boats fired and opened water cannons on the fishermen’s boats, which are 6 nautical miles off the Sea of Gaza City.

This had affected at least one fishing boat, but no injuries were reported among the fishermen who had to leave for the seashore.

The occupying forces, stationed in observation towers and military vehicles east of Khan Younis, attacked farmers, their agricultural land and sheep herders east of the city with bullets and stun grenades, forcing them to leave the land and return to their homes, but no injuries were reported.

On a daily basis, the occupying forces deliberately target Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Sea and farmers in the agricultural border areas north and east of the Strip and prevent them from practicing their profession and to be immersed in them.
