Lebanon: Israeli gunboat violates territorial waters

SANAA, Feb. 21 (YPA) –  The Lebanese army announced that an Israeli gunboat had violated the country’s territorial waters, on Saturday evening.

Late on Saturday evening, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli gunboat had violated the country’s territorial waters, and threw flare bombs opposite the town of Ras al-Naqoura, in the south of the country.

The Lebanese Army Command issued a statement saying: On 2/20/2021, between 2.08 and 2.12 hours, a warship belonging to the Israeli enemy violated the Lebanese territorial waters off Ras Al-Naqoura, about 150 meters away, as its members threw a flare bomb over the spot Mentioned Navy.
The Lebanese statement added: “The matter of the breach is being followed up in coordination with the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon.”
