LHAJ, Feb. 17 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias pushed a a specialized military battalion to confront the Islah militants in Lahj province, south of Yemen.
According to sources, the STC’s battalion arrived at Sabiha area, which is surrounded with more than 200 military vehicles of the 4th Brigade, affiliated with Islah Party.
The sources indicated that the STC kept sending the reinforcements to the areas of al-Tor al-Baha and al-Sabiha, amid efforts exerted by the Islah militants to control on the coasts of Tor al-Baha near Bab al-Mandab strait.
On Tuesday, a number of Islah militants were captured by the STC militias, after tried to locate in some areas of Sabiha.
