Int’l organizations call on UN to investigate into Saudi prisons

SANAA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – Skyline International Group launched on Wednesday an urgent appeal to the international community to strongly intervene by pressuring on Saudi authorities to stop the policy of arbitrary detention escalating in the Kingdom.

The organization said in its reports that the human rights and humanitarian conditions in the kingdom’s prisons have recorded a continuous decline in light of the authorities’ continued repressive policies.

It called on the various international parties to hold their legal and moral responsibilities towards the hundreds of detainees in those prisons.

It expressed its great concern about the escalation of arrests carried out by the security services in the Kingdom, the latest of which was the arrest of the well-known preacher in the Mecca area, Aisha Al-Muhajiri, 65 years old and other religious preachers.
