SANAA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – A Saudi court has sentenced a writer, Mohammed al-Hudhaif, who has been detained since March 2016, to nine years in prison, the Prisoners of Conscience (POC) said on Twitter.
The POC said that Al-Hudhaif was accused of false charges because of his warning of the danger of the UAE to the Kingdom and the region.
August 2018, Mohamed Al-Hudhaif had been sentenced again to five years in prison for assaulting friendly countries.
Al-Hudhaif was banned from traveling for another five years, known for his harsh criticism of the Emirati authorities for hosting the son of the late Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
