Coalition military decision provokes ire of Abida tribes in Marib

MARIB, Feb. 16 (YPA) – A decision to appoint a new commander of Saudi-led coalition’s recruits in Al-Alam front, north of Marib city, provoked the ire of Abida tribes’ sons, local sources said on Tuesday.

The coalition forces have appointed Major General ‘Omar Sajaf’ as commander of the coalition’s recruits in the Al-Alam front, north of the city of Marib, according the sources.

The sources explained that the appointment decision was met with great objection by the Abida tribes, because the new commander is from Jawf province, and he was previously appointed commander of the coalition’s recruits in ‘Raghwan’ front, which failed to confront Sanaa forces.
