US sends destroyer “USS McCain-Island” to Gulf waters

GULF, Feb. 09 (YPA) – The United States of America sent the destroyer “USS McCain-Island”, to the Gulf waters.

The US Central Command confirmed said on Tuesday, in a tweet on Twitter, the warship “Island” on Monday passed through the Strait of Hormuz heading to the Gulf for the purpose of training with what it called the allies and regional partners.

The arrival of the warship to the Gulf waters aimed to provide support from the maritime aviation for the operations called “Solid Resolve” and “Enduring Freedom” in the Gulf waters, the US Central Command added.
