UAE, Israel complete preparations for establishment of intelligence bases in Socotra, source says

SOCOTRA, Feb. 3 (YPA) – An informed source revealed that the UAE and Israel have completed preparations for the establishment of intelligence bases on Yemen’s Socotra island.

The source told  Yemen Press Agency that the UAE and Israel have completed logistical preparations for the establishment of intelligence bases to gather information from all over the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab and the southern provinces, which are under the control of the coalition.

Yesterday, UAE air force took 28 Israeli officers and soldiers to the Socotra archipelago before being transported by helicopter to the Island of Samhah, which is one of the inhabited archipelago’s islands.

It is worth mentioning that international reports revealed last year, the arrival of a joint delegation of Israeli and Emirati intelligence officers in Socotra, and their examination of various sites to establish military bases, after the installation of a military communications network last August.

All these moves by the UAE and Israel come amid the silence of the Hadi government and the failure to comment on this, despite repeated demands from all Yemenis for the “Hadi government” to protest and stop the destruction of Socotra.
