Southern politician: Riyadh Agreement doesn’t bring anything new

ADEN, Feb. 2 (YPA) – A Yemeni southern politician has criticized the Riyadh Agreement, signed between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Hadi’s government in early November 2019.

Abdul Rahman al-Wali, Speaker of the so-called Parliament of South said in a tweet, that the “Riyadh agreement”, did not bring anything new, adding that “STC” and Islah, rallying their armed to the Abyan front.

“What is going on in the southern provinces is “thug” and that none of the concerned parties care about it, pointing out that “the situation is still getting worst “, he said.

Hadi government allows bullying by gunmen and thieves to attack citizens if they make minor mistakes, Al-Wali added.

He called on the “STC” to punish its bad followers, amid accusations of so-called “legitimacy” of banditry.
