Pro-UAE military official assassinated in Mocha

TAIZ, Jan. 30 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen assassinated a military official in the so-called “Tariq Afash” forces funded by the UAE in the coastal city of Mocha in Taiz province, southwest Yemen, local sources reported on Saturday.

The sources said that unidentified gunmen shot, on Friday evening, one of the Afash forces military supply officials, called Abd Rabbo Mutahar, and killed him immediately.

The gunmen looted the car in which Mutahar was traveling, and then fled, the sources added.

Mutahar was kidnapped by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia days before his assassination, and his car and personal phone were taken, and only his car was released.
