About 14 sewing machines stolen in Abyan

ABYAN, Jan. 29 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen looted about 14 sewing machines in Abyan province, southern Yemen, according to sources on Friday.

The sources affirmed that the gunmen looted all the contents of the Family and Society Association with machines to teach poor girls the profession of embroidery, which aimed at providing them with experience to improve the conditions of their families in the city of Zinjibar.

The sources pointed out that the thieves had vandalized a number of the holdings contained in the association in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council militia-held city.
