Sanaa holds UN responsible for delay of technical team to inspect Safer ship

SANAA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs here on Thursday held the United Nations responsible for the delay of the technical team to inspect the Safer oil ship.

Deputy Foreign Minister, Hussein Al-Ezzi said, on Twitter: “The continuous postponement and change in the arrival dates of the technical team of the ship has been happened by the United Nations unilaterally.”

“We have demonstrated our great interest and concern in light of the developments of the American hostile stance towards our country and Yemeni people,” Al-Ezzi affirmed.

He added, “We are currently making great efforts to ensure that there is no suspicious link connecting the team to Washington.”

Al-Ezzi said the UN unfortunately submitted additional requests outside the agreement and agreed and signed by the two parties, and we informed them the need to respect the agreements.

On Wednesday, the UN hoped that its experts would be able to travel to Yemen in early March to conduct a preliminary maintenance process for the oil tanker Safer, after its mission scheduled for early February was delayed.
