Pro-coalition senior commander survives assassination in Marib

MARIB, Jan. 24 (YPA) – A senior military commander in the ranks of forces loyal to Saudi-led coalition survived, at dawn Sunday, from an assassination attempt at his home in Marib city, local sources reported.

The sources said that Major General Saleh Al-Rosa’a, commander of the so-called “101st Infantry Brigade” of the coalition forces, was subjected to an assassination attempt, when gunmen infiltrated his home in Al-Rawda neighborhood in Marib, in collusion with the commander of his guards.

Al-Rosa’a escaped the assassination, while his bodyguards managed to arrest one of the attackers, the sources added.
