Tawoos meets WFP’s Country Director

SANAA, Jan 19 (YPA) – The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, met on Tuesday with Resident Representative and Country Director in the World Food Program (WFP) in Yemen Laurent Bukera.

At the meeting, the official discussed a number of aspects related to the humanitarian activities implementing by the WFP program in the country.

Tawoos stressed the importance of coordination and the submission of annual reports and plans by the WFP for the current year to the Council to contribute effectively to facilitate access of the humanitarian work the people in need.

Meanwhile, the WFP’s official affirmed that the program would continue its humanitarian work in Yemen, and its keenness on continuous coordination with the council.
