STC rejects bin Dagher’s appointment as head of Shura Council

ADEN, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias refused on Saturday appointing “Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher” as head of the Shura Council in the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government in Aden city.

Ali Al-Kathiri, the spokesman of the STC, said on Twitter, that Hadi’s unilateral decisions represent a dangerous and clear escalation, which is considered a torpedoing of the Riyadh agreement.

He indicated that the Presidency of the STC would study the decree and announced its official position soon.
