Senior commander loyal to coalition survives assassination attempt in Marib

MARIB, Jan. 7 (YPA) – A military commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition forces survived on Thursday an assassination attempt in Marib province, according to private sources.

The sources affirmed that the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the exiled Hadi government loyal to the UAE, Saghir bin Aziz, was subjected to an attempt to liquidate in a new way in the province.

“Yemeni Press Agency” obtained information from private sources confirming that one of sheikhs of Islah Party in Marib hosted Saghir bin Aziz in his home and presented him with a cup of lemon, which was mingled a lethal poison.

The source explained that Bin Aziz was immediately transferred to a hospital in the city after being examined medically with effect of the poison on his body.
