Islah Party’s militias plunder 3 billion riyals from Marib’s central bank

MARIB, Jan. 06 (YPA) – Military forces of Islah Party had transferred three billion riyals from the treasury of the Central Bank’s branch in Marib city to an unknown destination, without official procedures, local sources reported on Tuesday.

The sources said that the Central Bank’s security officer in Marib submitted his resignation to the Facilities Guard Command of the “Islah Party” in protest against the transfer of funds from the bank’s treasury to undeclared parties without official permission.

The Islah forces transported the money from the treasury of Marib bank on board caged cars without any official permission from the Minister of Finance in Hadi’s government and the measures taken in such operations, according to the sources.
