STC’s militias block international road in Abyan

ABYAN, Jan. 05 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias on Tuesday blocked the international road linking Aden province and Mukalla city of Hadramout province, in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

The STC’s militiamen blocked the international road linking Aden and Mukalla for the second day in a row in Ahwar area, in protest at the non-payment of their dues, after the confrontations with Islah stopped at Abyan front, local sources explained.

The sources added that the process of cutting the road specifically to the trucks will continue as the soldiers try to pressure the STC’s leadership to move and start paying their dues.
