Protest in Shuqrah city calls for expulsion of Hadi forces

ABYAN, Jan. 4 (YPA) – Hundreds of residents in Shuqrah city staged angry protests demanding the removal of Hadi forces from the city in Abyan province, southern Yemen, Tahdeeth Net reported on Monday

The protesters cut off the international line linking Abyan and Mukalla in a protest  protest the presence of Hadi forces in the city.

They said that Hadi forces rebelled against the Riyadh accord and did not withdraw from the city on schedule.

They affirmed that the Hadi  forces targeted the headquarters of the Saudi military committee with mortar shells and hit a nearby house in order to sow discord among the city’s residents.

The protesters said the Hadi forces refused to repair power transmission lines to the city where the outage lasted for more than eight months.
