Prisoners protest against unhealthy conditions in Taiz

TAIZ, Jan. 3 (YPA) – Activists circulated video footage on social media showing the miserable situation of inmates of a prison in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.

 The videos showed prisoners in al-Shabakah jail protesting against the lack of water and deliberate neglect by the prison administration.

 They demanded the officials to provide them water, nutrition and improve hygiene.

Then protesters warned of infectious epidemics outbreak in the prison as a result of the unhealthy situation in which they live.

 The prisoners held the governor of the province appointed by the coalition, Nabil Shamsan, responsible If they got infected with diseases and their demands  have not been met.

 The citizens in all the areas , which are under control of Islah militants are experiencing catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
