Culture Minister inaugurates project to restore 30 houses in Old Sanaa

SANAA, Dec. 28 (YPA) – The Culture Minister Abdullah Ahmad Al-Kibsi launched on Monday a project to restore 30 houses in the old city of Sanaa.

The project is funded by the Charitable Foundation of Hayel Saeed Anam Group and supervised by the General Authority for the Preservation of Historic Cities.

During the inauguration, which began with a preparatory workshop at the Architectural Engineering Center of the Authority, the Minister of Culture stressed the importance of restoring the relationship between citizens and the state and raising awareness of preserving the architectural character of the city.

Al-Kibsi pointed out that the aggression countries seek to remove the city of Sanaa from the World Heritage List to facilitate its bombing and destruction.

He added that the old city of Sanaa suffers from many problems, and among these problems is the behavior of the residents.
