ADEN, Dec. 27 (YPA) – A group of mothers of the forcibly disappeared in the prisons and secret detention centers of the UAE-backed militia, on Sunday morning, carried out a protest in Aden city, southern Yemen.

The Association of Mothers of Abductees and Forcibly Disappeared called on the governor of Aden, appointed by Saudi-led coalition, Ahmed Lamlas, to reveal the fate of all those forcibly disappeared in the prisons run by the UAE-backed militia.

According to a statement issued by the Association, there are 37 forcibly disappeared persons since 2016, whose families know nothing about them except rumors and conflicting news that increased the anxiety of their relatives.

The statement stressed the right of the forcibly disappeared to complete freedom and the need to hold accountable those who violated their rights guaranteed in law.

The statement also called on human rights and humanitarian organizations to support mothers until the release of all forcibly disappeared persons.
