The World Bank threatens to stop dealing with Aden

 

 

ADEN, May 23 (YPA) – The World Bank threatened the governor of Aden bank, Mohamed Zemmam, with a number of sanctions, including preventing central banks in the world from dealing with the central Aden and stop the printing of currency and banknotes in Russia, an official source at the central bank in Aden told Yemen Press Agency

 

The world Bank also threatened to open the subject of disappearance of foreign currency reserve of $ 5.8 billion dollars after the dismissal of former governor Ben Hammam and after the transfer of the bank Central to Aden.

The source said that Zemam threatened World Bank officials to take punitive measures against commercial banks that deal directly with them.
