Saudi Arabia reproduces scenario of US occupation of Iraq in Yemen: Southern activist
SANAA, Dec. 22 (YPA) – A southern activist has confirmed that Saudi Arabia seeks to reproduce the scenario of the American occupation of Iraq in Yemen.
Southern activist and journalist, Saleh Al-Mahri, said in his Twitter account Tuesday “Riyadh Agreement trap will not spare Yemen and its people from the north and south.”
He added that the agreement is devoted to the control of the Saudi ambassador to a mandate and occupation phase similar to what America did in Iraq and hand it over to the US ambassador, “Bremer.”
Al-Mahri pointed out earlier that the Saudi ambassador seeks to legitimize the occupation in Shabwa, Abyan and Mahra provinces by deploying members of the Southern Transitional Council’s militia, which are tools for them in those provinces, as he described.
Observers believe that the Saudi ambassador to “Hadi government”, Mohammed Al Jaber, has become the de facto ruler of Yemen through making decisions affecting Yemeni sovereignty, and his recent role in the formation of the new “Hadi government” early this week.
