SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – About five rockets were fired at a major U.S. base in Afghanistan on Saturday, according to the spokeswoman for the governor in northern Parwan province Wahida Shahkar.
Shahkar said that the rockets hit U.S. military Bagram Airfield.
NATO and provincial officials indicated that the airfield was not damaged and there were no casualties.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
In April, the Islamic State group claimed responsibility for five rocket attacks on the base.
