Corona injuries exceed 900,000 cases in South Africa

SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The South African Ministry of Health announced that the injures toll from the new Coronavirus in the country has exceeded 900,000.
The ministry said that during the 24 hours, 8,725 cases and 274 deaths were recorded.

The total death toll from the disease in South Africa so far has reached 24,285.
With these numbers, South Africa leads the African countries in terms of the number of injuries and deaths.
The Minister of Health said earlier on Friday that his country had discovered a new strain of the emerging corona virus that was causing the second wave of the outbreak.
This came days after Britain also announced that it had discovered a new strain of the virus that increases cases of infection.
