Doctor announces general strike in Dhalea
DHALEA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – A doctor in Dhalea province, south of Yemen, announced on Wednesday a general strike on work in a private hospital in the city of Dhalea.
According to sources the doctor’s move came to protest on the insecurity in the province.
Madian Abdullah, a specialist in general surgery at Al-Tadhamon Hospital, said on Facebook that his decision came against the background of what so-called “the bully of men to shoot live bullets at the hospital without any moves by the security authorities.
The Saudi-led coalition had assigned the UAE-backed Security Belt forces in the province to maintain security in the city after unidentified gunmen assassinated Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Khaled Al-Hamidi in December.
