Shabwa-based Balhaf facility targeted with artillery shells

SHABWA, Dec. 14 (YPA) – The Balhaf oil facility in Shabwa province, south of Yemen, was subjected on Monday to a mortar attack for the first time since its establishment.

According to sources confirmed that violent clashes erupted between the Saudi-backed Islah militants and the UAE forces in the facility, which has been controlled by the UAE since 2016.

The sources indicated that the Islah militants targeted a camp of the so-called “Shabwani Elite”, funded by the UAE, in Balhaf with a number of mortar shells.
