Trump announces Morocco-Israel to normalize relations

SANAA, Dec. 11 (YPA) – The outgoing President of US, Donald Trump said that Morocco and Israel agreed to establish full diplomatic relations

Trump tweeted the US recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara, which appears to be the trade-off Washington has given to Morocco in exchange for recognition of Israel.

Trump said  Morocco recognized the United States in 1777 and it is appropriate to recognize its sovereignty over Western Sahara.

“Another historic achievement, two of our greatest friends, Israel and Morocco, have agreed on full diplomatic relations,” he said.

Jared Kushner, son-in-law and adviser to President Donald Trump, told reporters Thursday that normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel is inevitable.

Jared Kushner said it is only a matter of time before Morocco becomes the latest Arab country to do so.

“Israel and Saudi Arabia come together and full normalization at this stage is inevitable, but it is clear that the time frame will come and it must be determined,” he added.
