Violent clashes break out inside STC’s camp in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 5 (YPA) – Islah militants on Saturday made significant military advances on Abyan province, southern Yemen, local sources reported.

Field sources told Yemen Press Agency that al-Islah militants have taken control of the strategic al-Sarari mountain range north of Zinjibar city, about 18 km away from the Darjaj area.

The sources confirmed that a number military pickup vehicles were seen at an insane speed heading towards the city of Aden, carrying  dead and wounded.

Meanwhile, witnesses in the city heard heavy shooting inside the “Central Security” camp, which is under the control of the “STC” elements, without knowing the reasons.

Witnesses suggested that the clashes could be the result of a coup against the STC’s militias in the city.
