Senior leader killed in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 5 (YPA) – A senior leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias was killed on Saturday in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, sources said.

The sources confirmed that the leader of in the so-called “11th Thunderbolt Brigade,” Ali Zaid al-Mahrami, was targeted during the confrontations with Islah Party militants in Wadi Sella on Al-Taraih area of Zinjiber district.

Heavy and medium arms were used in the confrontations between the sides, according to the sources.
