STC militias inflicted heavy losses in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 5 (YPA) – The UAE-backed southern transitional council (STC)’s militias inflicted on Saturday heavy losses in lives and equipment in Taria front of Abyan province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources mentioned that Islah party’s militants launched a violent attack against sites of the southern militiamen in Sala valley of al-Taria front, killing several commanders, including leader of al-Sommod battalion and several of his guards.

The sources pointed out that Islah militants destroyed four military pick-up vehicles of the southern militias during their attempt to withdraw from one of the sites.

Previously, the commander of 11th brigade loyal to southern transitional militias, Ali al-Mahrami was killed by Islah militants fires in the same front.
