Al-Bashir admitted to hospital after his health deteriorated

SANAA, Dec.  5 (YPA) – Former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir was admitted at dawn on Saturday to The Alia Military Hospital in Omdurman for medical examinations after his health deteriorated,” according  media reports

Al-Bashir’s health deteriorated following the death of his brother, Major General Abdullah Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir last week, as a result of contracting the new Coronavirus, Al-Sharq news channel reported, citing informed sources .

Al-Bashir is scheduled to conduct a screening for the coronavirus, although there are no symptoms of infection,” the sources said.

Omar al-Bashir and General Abdullah Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir were being held in the same prison.

Abdullah al-Bashir’s body was buried  at the Tombs of Hilla Hamad in Khartoum, without the presence of his brother, whose request to attend the funeral was rejected by the Sudanese authorities.
