Rouhani reveals Iran’s first step expected from Biden administration

SANAA, Nov. 25 (YPA) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday revealed the first step his country expects from the administration of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Rouhani said Iran hopes that the upcoming US administration, as a first step, will openly condemn the “inhumane policies and anti-human rights actions” pursued during his years in office by outgoing President Donald Trump.

“One of the manifestations of Iran’s victory and the enemy’s definite defeat in the economic war is the end of the era of Trumpism,” Rouhani said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday morning. “He didn’t even allow a $5 billion in international aid to reach Iran to fight the coronavirus.”

Rouhani has expressed satisfaction over the defeat of U.S. President Donald Trump in the November presidential election, saying “thank God that the Americans and the world got rid of Trump”.
