STC militia captured in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 20 (YPA) – About 15 members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias were captured on Friday in the Islah militants’ attack in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan.

According to the STC’s spokesman, Mohammad al-Naqib, admitted that the Islah militants launched a violent attack on the STC positions on Tarih front Abyan front, destroying also several military vehicles of the STC.

He affirmed on Twitter that the STC militia also seized three military vehicle of Islah militant during the attack and destroyed others.

Other sources indicated that the confrontations renewed between the two sides in the areas Qarn Al-Kallasi and Sheikh Salem in Zinjibar district during the past six hours, which led to the death and injuring between the parties.
