ABYAN, Nov. 10 (YPA) – A huge military force was seen heading towards Abyan province, to resolve the battle, after the failure of the so-called “Riyadh Agreement” signed in November 2019, between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Hadi government,” informed local sources said.
The Yemeni Press Agency (YPA) has learned from one of its sources that the STC pushed “three brigades” towards the frontlines of Sheikh Salem, Al-Taryah and Shuqrah in Abyan.
The source confirmed that a military reinforcement was launched from the “Fifth Brigade”, based in the Area of Radfan, towards the Abyan Front, supported by a number of volunteers from the so-called “Southern Resistance”.
According to the source, the coming hours will determine the zero hour, to fight the last battle on the Abyan front.
On the other hand, the Bakaszam tribe in Abyan called on the tribes of the province to confront the “Islah” militants on various fronts, and to put an end to the abuses against the people of the province.
On Monday, the STC suffered heavy losses, in which 15 fighters were killed and wounded, and a number of military vehicles were destroyed in clashes with al-Islah militants in the Al-Taryah front.
