UAE defends France’s Macron, saying “he is absolutely right”

SANAA, Nov. 2 (YPA) – The UAE was not satisfied with normalizing with the Zionist entity, expanding the circle of economic and political exchange with Tel Aviv, but it seems that the UAE will go far by defending anything offensive to Islam and Muslims.

The latest Abu Dhabi cravings were represented by the defense of the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gargash, of French President Emmanuel Macron; who offended Islam by inciting the continuation of the cartoons insulting to the Messenger Mohammed (peace be upon him).

German newspaper ‘Die Welt’ published on Monday Gargash’s statements, in which he rejected the idea that Macron had offended Islam.

“We must listen to what Macron actually said in his speech,” Gargash said. “He does not want to isolate Muslims in the West, and he is absolutely right.”

He added that Muslims should integrate better, and that the French state has the right to search for ways to achieve this in parallel with combating extremism and societal closure.

Gargash attacked Turkish President Erdogan, saying: “He is exploiting every loophole and weakness to increase his influence and he does not show willingness to negotiate except when we show him the red line.”

The Arab and Islamic worlds are witnessing widespread protests against Paris’s stance towards the repeated insults of the Prophet Mohammed in France, and the hate and insult speech issued by the French President, in which he stuck by publishing those cartoons.
