Yemen’s ambassador to Iran: Re-opening of Iranian embassy in Sanaa will encourage countries to do so

TEHRAN, Nov. 1 (YPA) – The Yemeni ambassador to Iran, Ibrahim Al-Dailami, on Sunday considered the reopening of the Iranian embassy in Sanaa a step to strengthen the relations between the two countries.

In an exclusive interview with the Iranian ‘Al-Alam’ TV channel, Al-Dailami said “this step has broken many barriers and may encourage many countries that communicate with us in one way or another to reopen their embassies in Sanaa.”

Al-Dailami added that the Republic of Yemen is a fait accompli that the world must respect and deal with, indicating that the diplomatic relationship between Yemen and the Islamic Republic in Iran is normal.

“No one has the right at all to determine the type of international relationship established by the Republic of Yemen,” he stressed.

Al-Dailami confirmed that the Iranian ambassador, Hassan Erlo, was received after his arrival in the capital Sanaa officially, his credentials were delivered, and his existence became official, wishing him success in leading an active diplomatic work.
