MAHRA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – ‘Al-Massila’ tribes in Mahra provinces, eastern Yemen, on Wednesday vowed to block the international road during the coming hours.
The move comes against the background of the killing of the Omani poet of Yemeni origins, Ahmed bin Balla, in early October, according to a tribal source.
The source confirmed that “Rakhoot” area’s tribesmen continue to hold meetings, to take action against the neglect of the official authorities that did not take any move to pursue and arrest the killers.
The tribesmen vowed to cut off the international road, if the incident was not investigated and the perpetrators would not be arrested and brought to justice.
Unidentified gunmen assassinated the poet bin Balla, in the “Rakhoot” area, on October 10, and then fled.
