Hadhramaut: Intensive preparations in Tarim to commemorate the prophet’s birthday

HADHRAMUAT, Oct. 27 (YPA)- The city of Tarim in Hadhramaut province, south-eastern Yemen, has been preparing for the anniversary of the prophet’s birthday on the 12th of Rabe Alawal , with a number of different events.

Dozens of city volunteers began hanging banners and paintings for the occasion, decorating the city’s entrances and exits with the  light.

Over the past years, the city of Tarim, which is mostly sufi, has been holding reading sessions of the prophet’s scented biography, scientific and religious seminars, and singing festivals to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.

One of the students of Islamic sciences at Bin Sed Mosque, Abdullah Khaled, explained that celebrations in Tarim, started from the beginning of  Rabīʽ al-Awwal ,during which the events are distributed according to a schedule to the city’s most famous mosques.

He pointed out that the events are not limited to men only,  but there are also events dedicated to women, in addition to paragraphs for popular games, art exhibitions of paintings, sculpture and other arts.
